Yesterday was the first day of my 5-week vacation, and I celebrated it with my fourth viewing of STID. Went in to town for a doctor's appointment today. Bought two big, glossy ( and expensive! ) magazines about Star Trek. One about all Trek, and one mostly STID. Been too tired to do much but look at the pictures and headlines. Yup. Watched it again yesterday. I actually thought it was better the second time. I'm not going to lie to you, I pretty much only decided to watch it again just for... you know who. If you haven't seen "Star Trek Into Darkness" yet, stay away from trek_news! They said they wouldn't spoil the movie, but less than a week after it premiered in the US, they did. Thani's youngest daughter, Kieri. ( Made with a dollmaker; I'm still not an artist! ) As you can see, she's a throwback to her Aenar ancestry. Basically, a slightly bluer version of an extinct species ( at least that's what they say in the Trek novel verse ). She's a dreamy, timid and fragile little girl. Or possibly an assassin.
